2nd Nov, my son's 1st yr birthday :D

Just came back from hosting a party for my son's 1st yr birthday party at Hort Park. Great place, great environment. Sadly, I wasn't able to attend Francis' wedding becos of my son's birthday party, but I promise I will have a separate drinking session with him and his spouse. :)

I realised I'd been very slack in updating LJ. LOLz.....

Oh yah. I have zero tolerance with people who take their parents for granted. And that includes close friends and relatives. Why I say this? In time I will update LJ for all to know.

Monday evening......

Haven't been updating this for quite some time, so I will try to sum up everything as fast as I can. :P

Had been very busy with work, and more work. Basically on average, I'm doing OT everyday since Jan till beginning of June due to the same big project I'd taken over, but I still managed to find time for my futsal weekly. Sad to say basketball has almost came to a standstill due to the fact that the group has a very high fertility rate; EVERYBODY is becoming FATHERS!! LOLz......

The good thing is that I think I will close the project soon, or at least all the problems that were left stranded for months were finally closed, in my era. :P Bad thing? My boss might want me to continue with Phase 2. LOLz..... which equates to another no-life period. Only question, is for how long. :P

Weekends are basically reserved for my family. Almost every Saturday = Family outing. I will bring my wife and son to shop for one thing or another. Last Saturday, my wife managed to drag me all the way to town to bring my son for a Music and Dance Interaction class. I have to admit its very entertaining, and I can see that my son likes it, to a certain extent. So I think I will keep this going for a while. :)

I don't think I will be putting any photos in here anymore. Very lazy to do it. Will be keeping a chapter in Facebook though. :D

Friday morning @ 1209am......

Since January, I have been working literally like a dog everyday, going in early and leaving late at night, all becos of new job responsibilities. And I mean like 9pm to 11pm kind of late. Well, in order to prove my worth, I have to endure until I've delivered the end product to the users.

What actually is happening is that I took over this project from another guy who created a mess of everything. In order to undo the damage he had left behind, I had to relook into all the nitty-gritties so as to make sure everything is back on track and smooth. Imagine, 4 people had left becos of him. I am now trying to establish a good working relationship with whoever is left in the team so as to motivate them to finish the project with me, as a team who can communicate and trust one another. So far, from what I can see, I think I am doing fine. :)

Because of this commitment to work, I did not spend enough time with my family. I hardly get to see my son during the weekdays. So to me, the weekend is very important, and I absolutely refuse to bring work home and work over the weekend, even if it means that I must slog till midnight during weekdays.

Nothing is fair in life. Its all about the right opportunity and fighting for the right moment. I hope I am striving in this.

Sorry peeps. Haven't been keepin in touch with u all. Once I've completed this project, I will take time to organise something. :)

ML, don't be too upset. Try to spend some time to talk things out. :)

Sunday morning, and the 4th day of CNY

Tired. Mentally bonked out as I am even working during this festive season. Going through tons of emails plus documents to make sure I cover all the possible pitfalls of the project, and to counteract against them. Luckily, I'm still able to go out with my family to do the usual CNY visits before I go home to mug it out.

Finally at 1215am, I was able to "call it a day" before I start working on the next set of documents tomorrow. After surfing through various blogs of my friends, I realised that it had been some time that I tried to catch up with them. Bo bian. Its either family or work now. If I am not spending time with my wife and son, I am spending time with my work. I know it is not too good to devote too much time in work as the rewards u expect might not be better off than the consequences u get elsewhere. But what to do? No work, no income. So I have to endure for now. :P

I am glad to announce one major milestone of my project had been reached. Now is to move on to deal with the 2nd one. If everything goes smoothly, I will be able to turn this project around, of which the stigma of the previous PMT will be erased. That is a promising reward of which I am looking forward to. :D

My son has turned 3 months old a couple of days back. We had just bought some simple toys for him today and its damn funny to see him stuff all those things into his mouth!! Well, from what I can see, he's rather proficient with his left hand but I think its still way too early to tell if he's left/right-handed. :D

I'd forgotten to bring up my thumbdrive, so no photos for now. :P

Sunday evening, and its getting darker by the second.....

Nice weather to hop into bed and knock myself out. :D

Ok. Back on some quick updates. Yes, my family's doing fine. And my son is growing up very rapidly. 10 weeks old and he's almost like a little giant in the family. Now I am arranging for him to sit by himself so he can actively "join in the family discussions". :P

I will try to put up more pictures of him asap. I'm getting very lazy at this. :P

Work's getting more and more political. I had taken over another colleague of which the management believed had caused the project to "screw up". I do hope I can make it work, as my immediate superior had promised me certain rewards, plus a very good writeup on my profile. Basically I am working late everyday, even eating time into the weekends, but I hope this will ease up once I get things moving. :)

I had been playing street soccer and basketball actively. They had become weekly activities I had religiously participated as I strongly believe in a "work hard, play hard" environment. A couple of my friends (from my side, not from the soccer/basketball original grp) had stood me up, and for these team sports, the last thing u want is to have insufficient players. Now I have made it a point not to invite them anymore, as I don't really see the commitment in them. I am rather sick of such "airlines" which inconvenienced my other sports kakis who travelled a really far distance just to come for the activities. This had been communicated to them. To save the hassle, I will just count those really committed ones and let the organiser know.

Now my immediate goal is to deliver the project in Jun and go for a short holiday. Everything else can wait.

Thursday morning :)

A quick update:

Just returned from Bali, and I have to admit the experience is terrific. Here are some pics:

Nice? Will be putting more pics up once I get them sorted out. ;)

I love Bali. It has shopping, water activities, and nice people all around. I managed to go for rafting, and it was a very exciting experience, although I would like the current to be faster, drops to be higher. But nevertheless, the whole lot of us enjoyed ourselves to the max. I think I will go back to Bali next year again. :)

Now to work. Boss had been passing me more and more work, and more people to take care of. Not too sure this sudden increase in job scope and responsibility is a good sign, as I will be due for paternity leave soon enough. Let me see how I can juggle all of this.

And of course, my baby boy. During the 8 days I was in Bali, my wife complained to me about my baby-boy constantly kicking her really hard, and only when I'd called back, he relaxed. I wonder how true is that. LOLz.....

And yes, I was in Bali during the recent earthquake in Sumatra. Frankly speaking, when we saw the tsunami warning which was due to hit Bali at 2145hrs, at 2115hrs, the whole lot of us were deciding to go for our "final" meal. :P

Our families were worried, naturally. So we spent the next few hours making calls to our families, calming them and reminding them where we actually were. :)

Ok. Will stop penning here for now. Will put up more of my Bali trip in time to come. :)

Lazy Sunday morning.

Haven't been updating LJ for a while. So since I have some free time now, why not write something? :P

Work has been eating up most of my time. I have just taken over 2 more projects on top of the big system I have been managing, and I am also looking into the possibility of relocating my office to a quiet and scenic site. Only problem? Some of my colleagues don't drive. Well, we will let our boss decide eventually, but the move to somewhere, is necessary.

3 more weeks to my Bali trip, and I am really looking forward to it. Diving, White water rafting, massages, good food, plus many other activities I am looking forward to. And I am still comtemplating if I should get a tattoo there. One of my instructors told me to get it done in SG, as it would be easier for follow-ups. I think I will take my time on this one. :)

My new car is already on the roads, and as of today, I've clocked 620km with it. Its a very big difference compared to my previous ride. Last time I used to zip through here and there. Now I am just leisurely driving and enjoying the experience. What do u expect converting from a sedan to a SUV? Plus AT to MT? LOLz......

And of course, my child which is due in Nov. Everyday I will feel my child kicking, and I will try my best to make time to communicate. The last few natal classes I have been attending has given me a lot of insight to being a parent-to-be. And seriously, I am looking forward to the birth of my child into this world, of which I will be sharing my life and experiences with. ;)

I was embroiled in a recent online dispute again, of which this time, it was between a guy who assumed I was spilling his beans to others. So he went online to "sort out" the issues by posting more dirty laundry. Actually, its damn bloody silly to see such online exchanges. I had called the Adminstrator the night before I decided to unleash my side of the linen, and the morning after that. It was very apparent that the Administrator was biased. Even the previous Administrator, who initially wanted to help to settle the dispute, and later decided not to as he said: "He's not worth my effort to help", said that his decesdent is biased. Well, since this is the case, 2 warnings before I spilled his beans. Basically, whatever I released was done in a very tactful way whereby nobody except him knew what I was talking about. And all I can say is that its very disgraceful of whatever he has been doing. Well, if the rest want some, can get some. I will be more than happy to entertain them even though at the end of the day, I still think its a very silly thing.

I will be attending a BBQ this evening, and frankly speaking, I am looking quite forward to it. Great company, good food. Nothing beats that. (Cos I helped one of them to purchase the bulk of the food, so I know what's in the dinner menu. :P ) Think I will go bowling first before I dropped by the pit. I think I need more practice with my hooks. :)

Enjoy ur days peeps. Life is all about enjoying yourselves. Don't have it ruined by scumbags or imbeciles. :)

Sunday morning!!

Just booked my new car. Which would mean that I would have to start dekitting my current car in 3 weeks time. I do hope I get a nice car plate number. And I am going back to driving a MT, something I wanted for quite some time. Most of the items are sold to my friends. However, there are still some big items left to go. Guess I will start taking them out myself after working hours. Afterall, I am the one who had put them in myself. :)

Just celebrated my niece's birthday today by having a good lunch. She was simply hyperactive and kept dragging me around instead of allowing me to finish my meal in peace. LOLz...... shouldn't have taught her too many new games. But it was good to see her running around having fun. And she kept going "gu..... gu......" just to catch my attention. LOLz...... Kids. :P

Just attended Adrian (aka pigeon from KoB) and Justine's wedding. Before we even got to him, he was already drunk. Justin (aka JimBean), Ferris (aka zephyer) were at the wedding dinner with me. 3 of us hadn't met one another for ages, and almost ended up meeting mint at her usual dancing place. LOLz....... too bad she got a date to catch, hence we decided to catch up some other time. Even Francis (aka markerz) is asking for a reunion. :P

This weekend is a unusually lazy weekend for me. I really took my time to do the housework. Tomorrow I will spend the whole day cleaning up the house (which includes the toilets), plus windows and other things I don't normally clean. Guess it must be the weather: too hot for my liking. But heck, the holiday I've planned for my own birthday in Sept is keeping me going. :P

Guess its pretty much peaceful for me. :)

Sunday afternoon, 1 hr to gym.

It has been 2 months ever since I broke away from that group, and it does make me feel better. No more hypocrisy, no more politics, no more cheapskating.Only 2 from that group are whom I have chosen to remain in contact with. So far, we enjoy one another's company with simple activities like exercising and movies, dinner and kopis. Boy, I love this arrangement. ;)

I have decided to change my car. No, no upgrading or downgrading, just changing into another type of transport. Its just something me and my spouse have been wanting to get for some time, and yes, we will be getting it. I will be checking out my outstanding auto-loan with the bank, and with that, I will be making arrangements to dispose of the gadgets in my car. Some of the things are already sold to people I know.

5 months into fatherhood of the womb, and I find myself spending quite an amount of time trying to feel my child moving in the mother's womb. I can't really describe the feeling, but it sure has a sense of excitement and longing to be holding my child in my own hands. As of now, the due date of delivery stands at mid-Nov. And I am looking very much forward to it. :)

I will be going to Bali in September to do some leisure diving, and I will be going alone. Its one of those leisure diving trips I will usually do once a year to truly enjoy the thrills of diving. And trust me, I am looking really forward to that. :D

And finally I have understood why certain people are as such:

1) Always looking for trouble online;
2) Desperate as in BUAYA;
3) Cannot be trusted;
4) Manipulative of others to ur own ends;
5) Likes to backstab people, even if u call them friends upfront;
6) Talk really LOUD online ONLY;
7) Taking advantage of ur so-called friends;

Plus others of which I won't be penning down. All I know is that I am not going into that region, but rest assured if u want trouble with me, I will be more than happy to give u some. Who says that once u have a family, life ends? *evil grin*

PS: Time for a chalet with booze, lotsa booze!! ;)

So is it the 2nd, or the 3rd? :P

Reporting LIVE from Monterey, CA, USA. ;)

Touched down at about 2pm (US time). Took my time to pick up my luggage and made my way to my accomodations. Monterey is a very nice place, where the temperature's cool enough, the people's friendly, and the surroundings serene and peaceful, filled with a form of transquility that I can't describe very well, but hey, I love this place. ;)

Checked myself in and took a long hot shower, enjoying myself by immersing in the bathtub. After that, it was straight into the bed to recover from jet-lag. Initially I wanted to go diving first, but the boss of the inn advised me to catch some sleep instead. Hence, I took to my bed and woke up at about 8pm (local time) to prepare myself for dinner. Took a walk to find some place to eat, and discovered that the nearest grocery store is not really of walking distance. LOLz.......

Just taken dinner at this place known as FishWife, of which seafood seems to be the main attraction. The tapila was rather nice, with pinches of spices all over it. I think I might go back tomorrow to try other dishes. ;)

My conference starts on Monday. I will have one more day to explore the surroundings. Maybe I will rent a car or bike tomorrow to facilitate that. :D

Ok. Let me go do some reading up first. Will update more of this if I have the chance. U people take care. ;)

Midweek updates

For the 1st time in my MSN history, I have deleted and blocked 2 hypocrites officially, after the saga of the backstabbing issue etc. One of them actually messaged me via MSN this morning. He was trying to probe what I was really pissed with, and I told him blandly that I don't trust him. (Afterall, the last conversation I had with him, he promised it would be between us, and guess what? Like real!!) So he ended up telling me to stay clear of each other's path. I was like, WTF, when a couple of days ago, he took a cheapshot at me via our car forum. So I ended up F-ing him back and it was apparent that he felt guilty. Then I just said "bye", and simply deleted and blocked him with 1 second.

That should end the issues I have with them. If they choose to try their luck again, I will simply expose whatever I know onto the public, and trust me, they have everything and I have nothing to lose. Its a sure-win situation for me. I have backed off, subduing my ego in the process, and the 2 of them had better not try to test the lid.

I will be flying to the US next Saturday for a business trip, for a full week. It would be to a nice place whereby the temperature is about 16 degree Celsius. I haven't really started packing yet, but I do hope the luggage trolley I have borrowed from my mum is sufficient. This time round, I can't carry a backpack as I am bringing a laptop along too. I have rented a vehicle there, and I will definitely take the opportunity to explore the US. LOLz......

Also, I have just booked myself a trip to Bali in Sept. And yes, its a diving trip for me with a duration of 8 days. And I am looking forward to it. Booze and dives. Nothing beats that man. :D

And I have been a busybody recently by offering ideas for this guy to avoid this gal, who has been stalking him and getting herself into a whole lot of trouble, including with the law. No choice as I won't leave my friend in a lurch. He has been spending quite a number of nights out either sleeping in his office or in his car, and even spent one night over at my place. And seriously, I pitied the both of them. They should be better off doing other things than these, so thats why I took the trouble to get myself involved in this. 2 weeks have passed after I interfered, and from what I can see, so far, so good. Lets hope this keeps up.

Ok. Last thing, I'm going to be a daddy. ;)

Monday evening!!

Just came back from visiting our dear smurfy and her cute baby. Very active for a baby of 3 months old. Throughout our conversation, the cutie was constantly kicking the mummy until she had to sit on the floor. :P

And the next thing I know, the cutie was trying to join in the conversation at 3 months old!! WAHAHA!! But one most important thing, our dear mama smurf is truly happy, at least from what I can see from her, despite all the complains she was throwing over the last few months over her cutie. :)

Back to work issues. I should be flying off for some international conferences over the next few months. I just hope I don't get too fat when I come back, and I am definitely making a habit to visit the gyms when I'm overseas. No excuse to get out of shape just becos one is overseas. :P

I miss diving. :(

Thursday evening :)

A quick update on my last entry:

I've managed to steer clear of those people of which I deemed as backstabbers. The definition of friendship has once again eased itself and I'm able to grasp it more easily. Most important thing is that I feel happier. :)

Anyway, I'd been pretty busy with my work as I'd been tasked with a big project, plus some minor others. One of the reasons why I had been offline most of the time. But I still managed to sneak away with a pool session with Francis, and we had a great game. Yes, he does missed the rest of u, and u know who u are. ;)

I was also away to Malacca over the long weekend (cos I took leave on Monday), and it was a great trip. Me and my wife went with her friends (cos one of them was a local and he was going back to Malacca to visit his family). The pubbing scene there was great, and liquor was relatively cheap, and of course we drank ourselves silly, betting over all sorts of things over 2 soccer games at the pub. The food was terrific, with a local bringing us all over the place. To me, Malacca is no longer famous only for its chicken rice balls. I will be looking forward to the next Malacca trip I will be having, hopefully soon enough. *evil grinz*

Anyway, just to round things up, I will be pretty busy with many things over the next few months, mostly work. I'm still trying to find time to meet up with the rest of u over a nice dinner. Will inform Francis as well, plus I know I must squeeze some time to go and visit our dear Smurfy, who is now a proud mother. ;)

PS: Cos I bought her gift already, but too busy to go. LOLz...... Smurfy, please forgive me. :P

A lazy Tuesday night......

And a good night to just stay at home and laze around. And its refreshing to make some harsh decisions on how I wanna live my life. Allow me to elaborate.

I've decided to drop a certain group of people from my list of so-called "friends". Why?

1) I don't like backstabbers.
2) I don't like people who use underhand means like going around bluffing women they are single when they are jolly well married, and even have children (and mind u, they aren't even divorcing or what).
3) I don't like people who practise double-standards.
4) I don't like people who take other for granted.
5) I don't like cheapskates who go around taking advantage of others.
6) I don't like people who manipulate others to further their own ends.
7) I don't like people who are always twisting words and meanings to their own wrapped perception.
8) I don't like people who simply cannot lose. Only they can always win.
9) I don't like people who bite the hands they eat from.
10) I don't like people who are "chao kuan". (its a dialect description of people who have bad habits, and normally these habits are those types that benefit themselves only, at the expense of others).

Guess that pretty much sums up the list. I'm not saying I am 100% morally upright, but there are certain things I draw the line at. And these people are simply crossing the lines I've drawn above. And so, I've decided not to get myself associated with them. It allows me to breathe better, cos the air around them seems to be getting too rancid for my liking, and for my health too. Well, that's that. ;)

Back to my work. Have been rather busy as I have a couple of deadlines to hit. I have also just finished organising a workshop for quite a number of colleagues on a very new topic, and the feedback's good. If everything is according to plan, then I will be finding myself flying all over the world to pick up as many skills as I can, and I am looking forward to that. Of course, that is if the budget's approved first...... :P

I have managed to get myself back to gyming and jogging twice a week, at the request of a friend who wishes to get back in shape before his wedding. We have tried out the training sessions (based on my army days), and his mum has given positive comments like "my son seems to have slimmed down abit" and "his chin is getting sharper". And also, he felt more refreshing and healthier too. The whole idea is a success, and I can see myself getting more toned up and alert. This will allow me to go back and do even more adventurous sports. ;)

And I think I had better put some time aside to catch up with some old friends of mine. Francis has been asking me for pool for quite a number of times already. :P

Finally caught 300 together with some friends over at Great World City. A show of gore, the war strategies of the Spartans amazed me, brought to life by the director. A good show, and definitely a keeper for me. Will be waiting for the DVD to be out. ;)

Bowling fever's in. My car group kakis are all getting bowling balls for themselves, and I personally have been playing everyday since last Wednesday. Tiring, and I've got myself a wrist guard to keep my wrist intact. Should be taking a break from bowling for now, till my wrist is fully rested. ;)

Some people should just keep their mouth shut. Party affairs should just end at the parties itself. Why mention it infront of people who are better off not knowing? What is going through their mind when they are bringing such matters out in the public? Weird.

And I am one item short of completing my house. A TV. Any recommendations? Haha!! ;p

Friday morning already?!?!

This marks the 6th day of CNY, and luckily, I didn't fall sick after gorging on all those CNY goodies. Remember peeps, lotsa water to reduce the "heatiness", plus lotsa fruits and vegetables too. This season's too cool to be falling sick. :)

Anyway, I am waiting for some good news about my work, and I do hope its beyond my expectations. In a few hours time, I will be having a presentation on my project, plus some demonstration of our R&D efforts. The 1st milestone of our experiment. If this makes it, it will symbolize some good efforts on our part and initiatives. And I do hope we are rewarded accordingly. ;)

I am still hunting for some of the missing furniture for my house. Desperately in search of a sofa set and TV console, and it sure ain't easy to make it matching with the theme in my house. I am going to visit some more shops this weekend, and I surely hope I can get hold of something!!

Managed to get a laptop for my wife as a birthday present, and yes, I will be munching on bread for a while. LOLz....... I sure can tell she likes the gift very much, and I managed to get it up and running with the software she needs. Hopefully, I can finish with the installations by this weekend. ;)

Tomorrow's party night, as 2 of my friends would be celebrating their birthdays at one of the nightspots, of which I have no idea where is the intended destination. Most importantly, they shall be carried out, regardless of the location. *evil grin*

Ok. I think its time to hit the sack. Shall update in time to come. ;)

TGIF??

Yeah. Working from home now on a Friday afternoon. After slogging my brain juices out on a technical issue, and still having no solution to it, I've decided to take a short break and update my journal. ;)

Down with flu now, even though I didn't bother to take MC for the day. Cos it aint that serious yet, even though the airconditioning is really milking my nose out. Hence the decision to come back to work from home. Looking at the weather, the twist between the sunshine and rain is not going to help alot in my situation. Lets hope for some breezy nights to chill. ;)

Currently I'm into bowling. I've managed to pick up "hooks", but I would need a relatively decent personal ball to really master the skill properly. Currently I'm using a Urethane ball which happens to be a house ball. I'm hoping to invest in a Reactive ball, but the price tag is putting me off. With my current investment in diving, its kind of stretching to be dumping my money into 2 sports. Plus I've recently invested in some shoes for soccer and basketball as well. In short, I'm really feeling the stretch on my finances. But hey, money earned is meant to be spent, right? :P

Diving season should be opening in 2 months' time, and I can't wait to go back to the seas again. I miss the sunshine, the ocean, the marine life and many more. Definitely I would be one of the first few to put my hands up when volunteers are needed. ;)

Have just gone through a DIY session with my car group, and its great to see everybody helping one another to fix up their rides, aka Pimp My Ride. LOLz....... Getting ur hands dirty is one of the best ways I know to know ur car well, and I would say I've learnt quite abit that night. ;)

Anybody following on the latest scandal coming from Youth Challenge? Its like the NKF saga, and it really sickens me to know what has been happening in charity organizations. The consequences? The general public is getting more and more skeptical when it comes to donations. And who suffers? Those who really need the donations. Becos of these few black sheeps, the innocent suffer. I hope they do smelt a heavy punishment to deter the rest. :(

Smurfy, hope u enjoy motherhood to the max, and here's wishing u a smooth delivery and blissful family life. Will definitely visit u (if u don't mind) with some of the kobs people once u've settled down after the birth. :)

Tuesday, and I'm at home!! :)

Not idling, but resting from my swollen face (due to some nerve infection), and I will be resting at home for the next 2 days. :X

Ok. Some quick updates on what's happening:

Already staying in my new place for a month. Getting very used to the lifestyle of doing housework like vaccuming the house and ironing clothes, while my wife takes care of the mopping and cleaning of clothes. So far, so good. Still in the midst of finding the last few pieces of furniture that we need. :)

Pretty tied up with work as the first milestone will be reaching soon. Kind of stressed up over the technical glitches we have been hitting, but so far, so good. Experimentation is always adopting a "try till it can work" type of mentality, of which I am enjoying this to the max. Always digging for information over the WWW, plus going back to the library (of which I haven't visited in yrs!!).

Have met up with some of my Uni friends after a few yrs. 2 are having their wedding dinners at the end of the year, of which they are still deciding if they could attend each other's wedding (if u ain't too superstitious over such customs.......). Plus we went drinking and chatting away at some reclusive pub at Short Street. It was a very enjoyable evening, and I am sure looking forward to the next gathering, somewhere in a month's time, I guess. :)

Still busy with my car group, and there will be a meetup this weekend for the new members. As usual, we will be expecting a turn-out of over a hundred cars, and this would require precise and safe planning to avoid unnecessary traffic mishaps with the public and the TP. Hope the weather would be fine this weekend. No sun plus lotsa wind. :D

Currently spending my Saturdays training bowling and Sundays with street soccer. I've even invested in a new pair of street soccer shoes, and they had graciously given me 2 really big blisters over my Achilles' tendons. Well, a wrong choice of ankle socks was the main culprit, plus the shoes still need conditioning. Hope all these would be cleared by the 3rd game. :)

Met Sorc at St James during Mint's birthday bash, and its good to meetup with Lex and mint again. Lex was still acting her old same self (grabbing ladies) and mint was clearing enjoying her drinks. Thanks lex for ur "white chocolate rod", and someone told me it was actually part of a human organ impersonation. WAHAHAHAHHA!! Really pitied the guy who was set upon by u and had to down 2 hard liquors. Hope he's sober enough to walk out though. :P

Heard inex was over there as well, but too bad I had to leave early. Looks like time to have another little dinner gathering. Francis had been asking me when I'm free to play pool with him again. Lets plan something before the end of the month, ya? :)

A most lazy Sunday......

After a good game of street soccer and swimming after that, I feel so refreshed on a Sunday night. Now to update on what's happening:

The renovations are almost completed. 2 more switches to replace, and then its time for shifting in. Just did some cleaning on my own on Saturday afternoon. On average, I will take 1 hr 15 mins to wipe the whole house (floor only). Not so bad huh? LOLz.......

Understood from April that she has started her blading lessons. Eugene, when's urs? Looks like a gathering at ECP is coming up soon enough huh?? :D

Work's getting more and more hectic. But at least this new lease of life I'm given to embark on is earning me satisfaction. The amount of technology I'm getting exposed to is worth all the hard work. And I am travelling most of the time, moving around SG just to understand more about technology. The exposure is worth the fatigue. :)

Organising gatherings are never easy. Firstly, u have to deal with people who don't respond to ur notifications. Secondly, the issue on people "putting aeroplanes" (aka pilots) will come up next. Thirdly, and to vent ur personal frustrations on ur friends. Oh yes, all these happened over the weekend. Looks like life isn't so smooth-sailing after all. But it will take sometime to iron these issues out.

But my stand is simple. No more notifications for "pilots" and people who don't have the "reply" function embedded in their hps or email systems. LOLz.......

Lazy Thursday night

Work? So far so good. Even though there are quite a lot of doubts popping in my head pertaining the project. Its pretty much something like unclear requirements and solutions, but well, this is what happens when one is doing R&D.

"We want the expected result. How to achieve? U go figure out." *grinz*

That's where the challenge is, aye? *LOLz*

I just went through the photos that my dive club took when they went to Bali a week back. One word: JEALOUS. I should have gone with them. Darn. I will definitely plan my leave properly so as to join them on the next big trip. :D

Well, short summary on what's happening to the reno. Everything should be finalised by the end of this week. Hopefully, the physical work can start at the end of the 7th month. In the meantime, its still window shopping on the furniture. :)

And to all, please take care of urselves. A lot of my friends are taking turns falling sick. :)

What a loser.......

Was going through some stuff on tracking in Sepang. Then I happened to read about this so-call Technical Car Guru commenting on his proposal to the organisers to amend some rules. This lady commented back on his proposal, and he started to use sexist remarks.

I 'd never liked sexist remarks. The guy up there made both genders for a good clause. And apparently when one starts to lose in an argument, one starts to behave like a kid, despite that he's 35-36. Age certainly has no barriers on babbling like a baby. When I pointed out on his sexist remarks, he turned on me and accused me of "being in the gang". How shallow can he be? LOLz....... I do love to see his police report on this so-called "Internet bullies". I doubt he even knows what's the definition on one. LOLz.......

Anyway, work's pretty hectic, and even though I am barely into my 2nd month there, I have been heavily tasked on many responsibilities, which includes guiding this new colleague who's in for about 2 weeks. Well, I'm still learning as much as I can from my colleague. I just hope that she doesn't mind 2 students instead of one!! ;p

I'm still waiting for the IDs to get back to me on the interior designs. I'm still targeting renovation works to begin in late September. And to move in by end Nov. Well, will be giving them some time to think through as I believe they will be more motivated to deliver something decent if I don't haress them much. ;)

And I am still looking forward to a short break. Where can I go??? LOLz.......

Musings on a Sunday night......

Have been rather busy with a lot of things recently. My new house, work etc. Still on the lookout for reno. Even though I have submitted the floor plan to a couple of IDs, I am still open to the ideas of others. Anyway, I would just leave it to my wife to plan the nitty-gritties as she's more particular to the details. I would only step in on big decisions. :p

Work's picking up. More or less independent and already moving around to pick up the pieces. But come to think of it, this new job scope is like doing EVERYTHING by urself, and I'm preparing for a big load of crap coming.

Just went partying on Thursday at MOS to celebrate a friend's birthday. Realised that I can still stomach "on the rocks". Had quite a number of "neats" and glad to see the birthday gal enjoying herself. And hell yeah, we were all snapped and put into nightlife.sg. ;p

Managed to run into Colette on that same night. Nope, saw her at Plaza Sg after my dinner. She didn't really changed that much and due to the time constraint, couldn't really catch up with her. She's now an insurance agent, for those who might wanna know. ;p

Weather's abit warm for my liking these few days. So folks, drink more water. ;)

Friday, and I'm on MC??

Haven't been updating this for a while. Oh yes. Have started on my new job for about a month, and so far, so good. The exposure to various types of technology is simply enchanting, and looks like I've made a good decision to switch. Will be looking forward to my first project rollout. :)

Went diving last weekend. The surf was weird. The water temperature was weird. The visibility was weird. Seems like everything's weird. I wonder what's wrong with Mother Nature. I've heard about the tsunami at Java, and the volcano in Manila. Looks like nature is about to show us how unhappy she has been over the years. The diving conditions had already indicated some signs, of which I am interpreting as an omen. :X

Had quite a number of arguments with my wife. Guess this is what they call the marriage blues. But all is well. And I got to know her better and better everyday. And I definitely have to learn to curb my temper at times. Sometimes, using the wrong words at the wrong time in a fit of anger can cause irreversible damage. And I'm trying not to reach that stage. :)

And yes, my house's finally here. Have gone in to take a good look, as I need to submit all defects before the end of the week. Some minor defects here and there, but generally, I'm rather pleased with it. Will be deciding on renovations soon.

PS: Ferris, my turn to stress liao. :P

And I am hoping to take a short weekend getaway trip with my wife soon. Maybe just something relaxing and simple. :)
